Last Thursday night with Bird sleeping, I went in to check on Kasaan. Knowing now that everything is OK it is still tough to get the image out of my mind. Although he was sleeping well his color was pale and grey. My heart sank and I picked him up to make sure that he was alright. He responded immediately with stretching and then hunger cries like everything was just normal. However for Bird and I we needed to make sure that everything was going to be find. We went directly to Beverly Hospital and they kept Kasaan for two days running all kinds of tests to make sure that his oxygen levels were fine. We came home on Saturday with no answers definite answers but we feel confident that he is healthy and in God's hands.
Circumstances this week have been very difficult but through it we have seen God work amazing joy in our lives. Joy that sleep depravity sometimes snuffs out. Thanks to anyone who had heard about Kasaan and was praying. God has answered.

How Scary!!!
My stomach is still feeling ill after just reading about you finding Kasaan pale and grey. Ohhhh I just have goosebump typing about it. You two must have been on an intense emotional rollercoaster this last week.
We will be praying for him and his saftey and health.
Bird, you look so wonderful in the picture. Kasaan looks like such a delight. I want so badly to hold him and make him smile... hopefully someday soon.
We love you three.

Wow. I love that when you picked him up all worried, he was like, "what."
"hello."
These pictures are adOREable. Love that face. He really has changed so much from the other pictures! What a life. Happy Baby. I'm glad everything is ok; seems like there can be so many issues hiding under the surface. At least you've had a bunch of tests done to clear your minds of what "could be" and all. That is a relief. When they found a weird thing on Violet's heart during an ultrasound, it set us on end. But, they ended up doing all these tests and looking at things with more detail only to see that everything was fine. I feel happy knowing that she has had a good going over in that same way. Thanks for the update.
Man, New England weather IS depressing. Today proves to be another doozy!
Thank goodness Kasaan's OK! He looks like such a happy baby... :)
