The words are hard to find to describe the joy that Bird and I are feeling just now. On May 15 we went for our first doctor's visit and found out that God has given us a miracle to be delivered around the first of December. Bird has been extremely tired but we celebrated by going on a mountain bike ride and then eating pizza at Casa de Lucca, in Beverly.
We have been told that the sickness goes away after the first trimester and she is counting down the days. Finishing up her semester at school was so hard for her. Instead of reading she wanted to sleep and instead of writing she wanted to day dream about being a mom!
At the doctor we heard the heartbeat for the first time and nothing in all the world can compare to that sound. Life, joy, hope, love and gratitude barely hint at all we are feeling right now. Please pray for Bird during this time. We are thankful to God that we will be in Spain during her second trimester when "they" say she should be feeling her best. We love you all and thanks for your prayer.
